only suitable for rectangular bars (Atera, CRUZ, Thule). The integral strap
is a major plus point, an important safety feature.

bars and aerobars, including all Atera, CRUZ, and Thule bars. Aerobar adapters
are included. These carriers are sold in pairs, have a smart aluminium frame,
thick and squidgy rubber padding, a robust button which you can punch with a
gloved hand and a big spring to flick the carrier open. Identical lock sets
are also available in packs of 4 or 8 so you can use the same key on 2 pairs
of these carriers (one per side), or even 2 pairs on 2 cars!

anodized aluminium frame, thick and squidgy rubber padding, a robust button

open. If you're going to be using a ski carrier we recommend this "NOVA
6 uplifted" as being the most flexible carrier available, i.e. aerobars,
high bindings, room for boards and skis.

carriers, suitable for three pairs of skis, including carving skis with high
bindings, or for two snowboards. Magnetics are ideal for short trips to
indoor ski slopes (e.g. Xscape) and local dry slopes - they take literally seconds
to fit and are good value compared to the costs of roof bar and ski carrier
combinations. Not suitable (obviously!) for aluminium roofs, or vehicles with
large glass sunroofs.

RUD shoe chains

RUD's Quick Step shoe chain is the simplest and cheapest, but it still makes a massive difference between slipping and walking! All you need to do is to pull the superlastic loops over your shoe (small loop over the toe, large loop over the heel) and off you go!
The RUD 'Bergsteiger' is altogether a much more serious shoe chain, available in four sizes. It is standard issue to most European post offices, including our own Royal Mail! Made of alloy steel, easy to put on, take off, and store and (amazingly!) self-cleaning, i.e. no snow and ice residue is left between the chain and the sole of the shoe.
