The adapter kit contains the essential components required to fix the roof bars to the vehicle. The kit contains 4 rubber pads and 4 metal clamps (coated in Pebax, a special hard rubber solution).

Assemble all the components at ground level, preferably indoors!

• Push a rubber pad onto each foot.
• Feed the tensioning bolt through the rectangular plastic washer, then through the clamping plate, then locate the retained nut in the foot and give the tensioning bolt a couple of turns. Be careful not to cross thread it.
• Tighten the roof bars evenly, turning by hand until it's time to use the lock cover as a turning handle. (Note the locating tabs in the back of it.)

Read the instructions very carefully, paying particular attention to the maximum permitted load limit and safe driving advice!
