The Atera Giro requires careful adjustment for each bike, so the initial setting up time is slightly longer than for the Thule 510 TOUR. Once set up it holds the bike very snugly, and the front wheel has two quick release straps for additional support. It's also 260mm wide, comes complete with adapters for aluminium T-track section bars, and takes bikes with down tubes up to 50mm wide by 80mm deep. It was given the Auto Express BEST BUY Award in a recent product test of roof mounting bike carriers: "It was easy to fit and adjust, and folded to store just about anywhere. Hard to resist..."
