Saris reckon that the Bones is "The World's best selling rear rack" - it's sold in over 30 countries. This is very likely - it's definitely the best designed rear-door-fitting rack that we've ever tested, from the point of view of ease of fitting and use, and it must fit as wide a range of vehicles as any on the market. It's also uniquely stylish and individual.

Saris Bones. A quirky name for a one-off design, but that's because Saris have the patents on several unique and very clever features. The Saris Bones 3 will carry three bikes safely on the majority of hatchbacks, estates, MPVs, saloons and convertibles, using three straps per side - top, bottom and middle - to hold the carrier stable and firm. It's very quick and easy to set up and to fold flat again when not in use. The anti-sway straps, a Saris exclusive, make a real difference, and holding the bikes at different heights should also help prevent important components from rubbing against each other. We think it's great. Use this page to order the pink Bones 3. We know that most of the pictures show the blue Bones 3; we'll photograph the other colours in due course. Other features and specifications:
Saris doesn't publish an up to date European application guide. We've used our best judgment in linking this product to specified vehicles where strap on racks are known to be suitable, but it's up to you to be confident about the stability before using the rack, and of course to read the fitting instructions very carefully, and to do as instructed. If there's doubt about the strength of the mounting for the Upper hooks - for example you must never hook them onto glass - then you should use the Saris Hatch Huggers, listed below. If we know that these are required, we have already selected them for you.

Delivery charges and arrangements: We charge a contribution towards delivery costs, depending on what you order, where you live, and how quickly you want the goods. For most UK addresses, the charge for our two to three day service is £5.50 (£9.50 for orders including a roof box) and our charge for Next Working Day deliveries is £8.50 (£12.50 for orders involving a roof box). AutoSock, and small spare parts, are charged £3.95 (1st Class post) or £5.50 (express courier, usually Next Working Day). There are different charges for any delivery including a sea crossing, and deliveries to Skye - we will contact you with a quote on receipt of order. Orders for Next Working Day delivery need to be received by 4.00pm. There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays. Next Working Day orders placed on a Friday will be delivered on the Monday, Next Working Day orders placed on a Saturday will be delivered on the Tuesday. We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver on a day and at an address which suits you. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements. No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service. |
