Why it's important to select the correct vehicle and tyre size
Vehicle
There are a surprising number of vehicles that cannot use traditional snowchains, the types that put chain on the inside of the wheel as well as on the tread. This is usually because there is not enough space between the wheels and the shock absorbers; this can be a problem for ordinary SUVs and 4x4s as well as for high performance cars.
You will find this important information in your car handbook - please check this before using your snowchains! Our database is intended to do the basic work for you but, with so many new vehicles and tyre sizes, it should only ever be treated as a guide.
Tyre size
Please also check your tyre size - if you buy incorrectly-sized chains they will be either too tight or too loose.
Ladder track chains
The good news is that car handbooks usually only refer to "traditional snowchains". Ladder track chains such as the Polaire GRIP and Spikes-Spider range only put chain over the tyre tread, so are not subject to these restrictions. They are also ideal for use on rear wheel drives where there is minimal space between the top of the wheel and the wheel arch.
It's really important to select the correct vehicle, paying attention to the year of the manufacture

You should have arrived on this page because you've chosen a 106cm wide YourSize. If you've just arrived on our site, please click here to visit the introductory page.
Where we know which YourSize fits a particular car, we'll list this size (or sizes, where the rear seats can be folded), but we'll also include links to these pages because different people have different requirements.
Choosing the appropriate length:
- The error you can make here is to choose a YourSize that is too long, such that you won't be able to close the tailgate. If you have to return a YourSize longer than 100cm, there will be a carriage charge of at least £45 if you want us to collect it. So please measure accurately!
- If you want a YourSize to fit behind the rear seats, you need to measure at the 33cm high mark.
- Working out how much space the tailgate takes up is where people tend to over-measure. One good tip is to close the tailgate, lower the rear seat, and position e.g. a book or a box against the inside of the tailgate; when you open the tailgate, this is your outer mark.
- Don't think that you can compress a YourSize - you can't! If your maximum distance is 89cm, for example, you need to choose an 80cm YourSize, not a 90cm one.
You'll see (third picture) that the outer edge of the YourSize is shaped to accommodate the shape of a typical tailgate.
If in doubt, choose a shorter model - losing 10cm is unlikely to make a significant difference to the usefulness of a YourSize boot liner.
Standard YourSize are lower at the tailgate end (10cm high) to make for easy loading and unloading, but note that we have some 106cm wide YourSize which are 33cm high all round - so you can have a multi-use plastic box which not only fits in the car but which our customers have told us they've used as a sand pit, a paddling pool, even a dog-washing bath. If these are available they will be listed below.
Special Offer! Buy a Carbox YourSize high liner from us this season and we'll give you, free of charge, an 80cm x 60cm anti-slip MultiMat (1 MultiMat per liner purchased). A larger anti-slip mat is also available for purchase - see below.

Delivery FAQs
When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday (before 1pm) should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday. The arrangements for Very Heavy Items are different and are shown above.
What about Next Working Day delivery?
Most Express delivery orders will arrive on the next working day, if the order is placed before the cut-off time (see above). Some will arrive on the second working day if there has been a "split-delivery". So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can and leave the rest for the next trailer.
Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
Payment options:
We take the following cards, and also PayPal. Please note that the entry on your card statement will be from "The Roof Box Company".

How to measure your boot space
01
Measure the width of your boot at its narrowest point at a height of 33cm. Use this measurement to choose the appropriate width of YourSize (exactly or less than 92/99/106/113cm)
02
Measure the width at the narrowest point on the boot floor. If this is narrower by more than 6cm you will need to order one size smaller.
03
Measure the length of your boot at its shortest point and at a height of 33cm with closed tailgate. Make sure the Your Size you order is at least 1cm shorter than your boot length.
