Wide roof boxes
Thule Atlantis 900 650 litres, 235 x 90 x 46cm from £359.95
A fully featured box, good looking and very well made, including steel reinforcing ribs and dual side opening. Its size and weight makes it too large and heavy for safe single handed movement unless you're used to lifting roof boxes; mind your back. It’s available in silver gloss or in “glossy black”.
These are excellent quality boxes, very pleasing to the eye and extremely well made - the best boxes that Thule makes. The dual side opening really comes into its own on these wider boxes. Their size and weight leave them too large and heavy for safe single handed movement unless you're used to lifting roof boxes, so be careful! Top quality, but expensive...
Thule Excellence 6111 520 litres, 218 x 94 x 40cm £584.95 The new Thule Excellence is built to similar specifications as the Spirit range, but has unique styling features and a unique two tone colour scheme. If cost is the issue, stick with a Spirit, but for individuality, and never mind the cost, why not!
This is the "I want the biggest" department. Be warned that these boxes need two people to lift them, unless you are an experienced and strong box lifter. Also bear in mind that you'll get more capacity and more flexibility if you use 2 boxes - see below.

This new generation box from KAMEI includes all the essential attributes of any KAMEI box - good looks, ease of use, top quality mouldings, excellent security, wide opening, safety tests that are up with the best. It requires basic self assembly but can also be taken apart again - a really useful feature if you have limited storage space.
