The 4pets Caree is designed for cats and dogs up to 15kg (33lbs), and is fixed to the vehicle seat with a seatbelt, or (with an accessory, listed below) to any pair of ISOFIX latch points. The maximum approved weight for use with the ISOFIX system is also 15kg (33lbs).

Designed for Safety

It’s designed for safety - it's passed TÜV’s crash-testing regime - but also for ease of use, and for stylish good looks. It's a soft look, gentle on vehicle upholstery, not a hard metal or a hard plastic look. The rear of Caree is made from a tough quilted fabric - to cut down on the weight, for a softer look, for warmth, and so that it will mould to the shape of the seat back.

Designed for Ease of Use in the car

There's a door on each side, opened by pulling a tab, and closed by pressing it lightly until it clicks shut - so you have one hand for opening and the other is ready to grab your pet by its collar.

Having two side doors means that you can place a Caree on either side of the back seat, or fix it on the front passenger seat and open a door from the driver's seat or via the passenger door.

Designed to be Comfortable

The bed looks wonderfully cosy! It's well padded with a foam mattress that should be removed before it's washed - hand washing only, to 40 degrees centigrade. Replacement beds are available - all colour options are shown in the list below. The bed includes a padded front flap, which clips to the front of the Caree so it won't sag - this is for impact protection, but it also gves the pet some privacy and shade, which will help it to snuggle in and sleep. The 'safety cell' features of Caree are well disguised - the overall impression of Caree is that it's soft and warm.

Designed for Easy Fitting

You can fit Caree using a seat belt - the horizontal part of the seat belt is held in the base of the Caree by a hinged plate - but if you have ISOFIX latching points we recommend that you buy the ISOFIX accessory, especially if you expect to fit and remove the Caree regularly. The ISOFIX system is so easy to use, and clever for its simplicity: Clip into two ISOFIX points and, from the front, pull the straps to move the Caree back into the seat. To remove the Caree, pull the Caree forward to reveal the ISOFIX latches (there are quick release catches at the front of the Caree) and then press a button on each ISOFIX latch to remove it.

There are three colour options – Cool Grey (this one), Smoked Pearl and Black Series.

Express Delivery orders placed before before the cut-off times shown below will usually be desptached on the date of order. Express Delivery orders placed after these cut-off times will be despatched the next working day.

Delivery FAQs

When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday (before 1pm) should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday. The arrangements for Very Heavy Items are different and are shown above.

What about Next Working Day delivery?
We have offered a reliable Next Working Day service for well over 20 years but, due to the pressure on the couriers caused by the coronavirus crisis and the huge increase in online shopping, we can no longer be confident about the delivery date, which is why we now call the service ‘Express delivery’. Most Express delivery orders will arrive on the next or second working day, but some will arrive on the second or third working day, or be split between these days. So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can and leave the rest for the next trailer.

Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.

Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
