Why it's important to select the correct vehicle and tyre size
Vehicle
There are a surprising number of vehicles that cannot use traditional snowchains, the types that put chain on the inside of the wheel as well as on the tread. This is usually because there is not enough space between the wheels and the shock absorbers; this can be a problem for ordinary SUVs and 4x4s as well as for high performance cars.
You will find this important information in your car handbook - please check this before using your snowchains! Our database is intended to do the basic work for you but, with so many new vehicles and tyre sizes, it should only ever be treated as a guide.
Tyre size
Please also check your tyre size - if you buy incorrectly-sized chains they will be either too tight or too loose.
Ladder track chains
The good news is that car handbooks usually only refer to "traditional snowchains". Ladder track chains such as the Polaire GRIP and Spikes-Spider range only put chain over the tyre tread, so are not subject to these restrictions. They are also ideal for use on rear wheel drives where there is minimal space between the top of the wheel and the wheel arch.

Seat covers make sense, especially when carrying animals and / or young children!
This set of Walser seat covers has been designed to provide a very good fit to the widest selection of cars, using a smart velours centre panel with a high quality stretch fabric on the sides and back. They use Walser's unique ZIPP-IT fitting system. Most seat covers require you to make holes in the seat cover to accommodate the headrests. ZIPP-IT seat covers have discreet zips that you simply close around the headrests, allowing you to fit the headrests simply and neatly without making holes in the covers. Unlike most seat covers they will even fit to seats where you cannot remove the headrests. Zips down the side of the seats also accommodate any side levers. Specifications: - Made from polyester, with 2mm foam padding.
- Six pieces: 2 x 2 piece front seat covers (separate parts for seat and backrest) and 2 x head rests.
- The ZIPP-IT headrest mountings are another Walser patent, integrated zips allow you to fit the headrests and side levers without cutting the seat covers.
- 2 year guarantee.
- Check out the image above for washing instructions.
Walser is a global player in the car seat covers market, an Austrian brand which is highly respected in the auto industry for its intelligent designs, good quality and, above all, innovation. The most significant innovation in these seat covers is Walser's patented "CLIX III docu-sewing-system" which emulates the airbag stitching found in the seat itself and, subject to approval, permits the seat covers to be used on vehicles with side airbag. Almost every new car and seat combination has been fitted with Walser's CLIX III covers and then tested and approved by the German TÜV - an expensive process for Walser but where safety is at stake there are no shortcuts. For more information about Walser, and about CLIX III safety, please see the separate tabs. Summary: Good looking and comfortable side-airbag-compatible seat covers that are easily fitted and removed, even to vehicles with fixed headrests. Walser's ZIPP-IT fitting system makes them very easy and neat to fit. Please note that they aren't suitable for sports seats, seats with 'airline style' trays or armrests, or leather seats.

Delivery FAQs
When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday (before 1pm) should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday. The arrangements for Very Heavy Items are different and are shown above.
What about Next Working Day delivery?
Most Express delivery orders will arrive on the next working day, if the order is placed before the cut-off time (see above). Some will arrive on the second working day if there has been a "split-delivery". So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can and leave the rest for the next trailer.
Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
