Walser ZIPP-IT seat covers, front seats only, Ardwell black-grey, 11867

Code: WL11867

These good looking seat covers are made from high quality materials and will be a very good fit on the majority of car seats.

They use Walser's ZIPP-IT fitting system. You don't need to cut the covers to fit the headrests or side levers, you simply close the zips around them.

Very importantly, they include Walser's patented 'CLIX III' TÜV-approved side-airbag seams.

Seat covers make sense, especially when carrying animals and / or young children!

This set of Walser seat covers has been designed to provide a very good fit to the widest selection of cars, using a smart jacquard centre panel with a high quality stretch fabric on the sides and back.

They use Walser's unique ZIPP-IT fitting system. Most seat covers require you to make holes in the seat cover to accommodate the headrests. ZIPP-IT seat covers have discreet zips that you simply close around the headrests, allowing you to fit the headrests simply and neatly without making holes in the covers. Unlike most seat covers they will even fit to seats where you cannot remove the headrests. Zips down the side of the seats also accommodate any side levers.

  • Made from polyester, with 2mm foam padding.
  • Six pieces: 2 x 2 piece front seat covers (separate parts for seat and backrest) and 2 x head rests.
  • The ZIPP-IT headrest mountings are another Walser patent, integrated zips allow you to fit the headrests and side levers without cutting the seat covers.
  • Fine to use with heated seats (but not leather seats).
  • 2 year guarantee.
  • Check out the image above for washing instructions.

Walser is a global player in the car seat covers market, an Austrian brand which is highly respected in the auto industry for its intelligent designs, good quality and, above all, innovation. The most significant innovation in these seat covers is Walser's patented "CLIX III docu-sewing-system" which emulates the airbag stitching found in the seat itself and, subject to approval, permits the seat covers to be used on vehicles with side airbag. Almost every new car and seat combination has been fitted with Walser's CLIX III covers and then tested and approved by the German TÜV - an expensive process for Walser but where safety is at stake there are no shortcuts. For more information about Walser, and about CLIX III safety, please see the separate tabs.

Summary: Good looking and comfortable side-airbag-compatible seat covers that are easily fitted and removed, even to vehicles with fixed headrests. Walser's ZIPP-IT fitting system makes them very easy and neat to fit.

Please note that they aren't suitable for sports seats, seats with 'airline style' trays or armrests, or leather seats.

Side airbags are crucial to modern vehicle safety. Approximately one in four accidents is a side collision, but the probability of serious injury and death is twice as high as it is with front or rear collisions, due to the narrow space between the passengers and the doors. Side airbags must work as designed, and not be impeded by e.g. elastic straps or Velcro fastenings. The sensors will trigger the airbag 5 ms (5 thousands of a second) after a crash. 10 ms later the airbag is fully inflated, just in time to protect the passenger who will hit the airbag 10 ms after full inflation. After another 15 ms the bag starts to deflate. [Source, Walser marketing literature]

The CLIX III docu-sewing-system emulates the seam in side airbag seats. Computer controlled equipment measures the thread tension, the thread denier, the thread composition and the stitch length, and if all is well it generates a unique code that is stitched into the front seat covers. Walser record these codes. Customers may return their registration document to Walser who will match up the code to check that the seat cover is a genuine Walser product. (We do of course purchase all the Walser seat covers we sell direct from Walser!) Walser's TUV approved system

When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday (before 1pm) should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday. The arrangements for Bulky Items are different and are shown above.

What about Next Working Day delivery?
We have offered a reliable Next Working Day service for well over 20 years but, due to the pressure on the couriers caused by the coronavirus crisis and the huge increase in online shopping, we can no longer be confident about the delivery date, which is why we now call the service ‘Express delivery’. Most Express delivery orders will arrive on the next or second working day, but some will arrive on the second or third working day, or be split between these days. So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can and leave the rest for the next trailer.

Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.

Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Except for Bulky Items, goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
