We think that BUZZ RACK’s E-Scorpion XL deserves to be a top choice for anyone who wants to carry 2 bikes, especially larger, heavier or electric bikes. It's a hugely versatile rack that can take a large range of different types of bikes. It has a height-adjustable upright and a bigger (30cm) distance between the bikes, so it's our recommendation for bikes with a very large frame, particularly full-suspension e-MTBs. Whatever bike you have now (or in the future) the E-Scorpion should be able to accommodate it. Bike carriers that are strong enough for electric bikes tend to be pretty beefy themselves, so handling these heavier bike carriers can be awkward. The E-Scorpion XL is a solid carrier at 20.8kg, but because it folds up it's very easy to move about and to fit, without straining your back. It's even got an integrated transport wheel so you won't have to do much lifting of the rack. Just wheel it to the tow ball in the folded position – there’s a handle above the tow ball clamp, so it’s an easy vertical lift. Place it over the tow ball – you'll be standing above the tow ball, not some distance behind it. You'll also find that the E-Scorpion XL stays level and does not crash to the ground when you let go of it. Fit, lock, unfold – all parts click into place, including the number plate holder. It uses BUZZ RACK's new tow ball fitting, so securing it to the tow ball is simple too. You push a handle down to secure it to the tow ball, then some extra fine-tuning using a dial may be required. You can lock it to the tow ball - a green tab lets you know everything is secure. It’s particularly easy to tilt, with the tilt control just above the number plate. The lights are 5 function – they include a reversing light and a fog light if you have a 13 pin socket - and are UK legal, i.e. the fog light is on the right hand side / off side.
