BUZZ RACK BRS EasyTilt 3 bike carrier no. BRP113

0
RRP: 300.00
discontinued

The BUZZ RACK Buzz Runner SPARK 3 was the predecessor to the current model BRP133. We also called it the BRS EasyTilt 3.

The replacement is fundamentally the same, except for an upgraded lighting system, with sliding rather than folding lights.

You will find the spare parts list for this earlier version on the Spares tab; use the link below to visit the new SPARK 3.

Also known as BUZZ RACK 'Buzz Runner SPARK' 3 bike rack no. BRP113.

BUZZ RACK make great bike racks that are strong, secure and innovative. These are products you can confidently rely on for your adventures.

So what's the big deal with the BUZZ RACK EasyTilt? Fundamentally it's down to design, safety, quality, and ease of use. Consider the following:

  • It's supplied almost fully assembled; minimum work is required.
  • It's the right shape for storing in the boot when not in use.
  • It fits to all tow balls with an easy "first time out only" adjustment system.
  • Fitting is simple and, above all, fast; place the carrier on the tow ball and lift the lever, the ergonomically easy thing to do, with nothing to tighten or turn.
  • The BUZZ RACK EasyTilt is genuinely easy to tilt, well balanced during the tilting phase, and tilts far enough for use even on vehicles with vertical tailgates. The tilt function is accessed at the front of the carrier so it's easy to get to, unlike many other bike carriers.
  • It sits high on the tow ball, well clear of speed bumps and other hazards such as steep ferry ramps.
  • The wheel holders, much more robust than we've seen elsewhere, will slide in and out and will accommodate all wheelbases, even very small children's bikes if you turn the wheel holders through 180º.
  • The wheel holders include tough and easily adjusted wheel straps which are long enough to hold the biggest rims we've found.
  • Each bike holder has locks, and the carrier also locks to the tow ball with a strong metal in metal lock.
  • Flick up a couple of cam levers and the carrier folds flat for easier storage.
  • All parts are replaceable if e.g. someone forgets that a tow bar carrier is fitted and reverses into a wall - which happens!
  • Dimensions: 93cm wide by 78cm deep (measured from the centre of the tow ball mount to the outside edge of the number plate holder).
  • Weight: 17.1 kg.
  • The BUZZ RACK EasyTilt comes with a 5 function 13 pin lighting system, with UK compliant fog lights, i.e. the fog light is on the right hand side / offside. A 7 to 13 adapter is also provided, for cars with 7 pin systems (if you have a 7 pin socket the reversing light and fog light will not work - the 7 pin socket isn't wired for these functions).
  • The lights slide in for easier storage.
  • The build quality - tube bending, welding, rust proofing, painting, component quality, is exemplary. All tools you might need are provided.
  • It's TÜV approved to ISO standard R15264-4, a standard some way tougher than current requirements.
  • We also think it looks great!

Exchange scheme: Tow bar carriers are part of our 90 day exchange scheme - click on the link below for details - so you can order without financial risk. All current tow bar carriers from all the brands we stock are available for exchange, including Pendle and Thule, even if they are no longer part of our standard stock range.

BUZZ RACK is manufactured by King Rack of Taiwan, a specialist bike sector engineering company since 1996. Their factory is state of the art, with much of their production being tube bending, specialist welding and finishing for well known brands.

3 bikes - BUZZ RACK BRS EasyTilt Reviews

- Vehicle type: Saloon
Great build quality, easy to fit, the only drawback is the weight, it is very heavy, my wife cannot fit it.
- Vehicle type: Van
This is an excellent rack, very easy to fit and secures the bikes well. The only downside is the bike closest to the van needs the handle bars to be swung 90 degrees to clear the rear door of my campervan.
- Vehicle type: Hatchback
Stunning build quality - everything has been thought through. I've used it 5 or 6 times so far & from start to finish to get the rack on & two bikes attached is about 5 minutes. Very easy for one person to attach to the towball & very secure. Assembling it initially wasn't too easy by trying to follow the pictures, but still only 15 mins or so. This was recommended to me & I've already recommended it to others.
- Vehicle type: Hatchback
Really well designed and sturdy product. The rack fits to the tow bar very securely and quickly. In less than 2 mins I can mount the rack and attach my bike ready to go.
- Vehicle type: Estate
At this price it can't be beaten. Once set up very quick and easy to fit and remove from car. Very easy to mount bikes on rack. Have been using rack for 6 months travelling most weekends all over country to races with out any problems. Comes complete with locks to lock to car and bikes. Roof box Co service and delivery was top rate.
- Vehicle type: Estate
After hours of trawling the internet I opted to try this rack. I have a detachable tow ball on my estate, which this rack is compatible with. The initial build is quite satisfying as the pieces are of good quality and fit together well, and setting up on the tow ball for the first time doesn't take that long. After that it's simply genius! You lock the rack to the tow ball. Nice. You put your bike (s) on the rack, and then lock them in place individually. Nice. Then if you've forgotten to put something in the boot, you release and pull a lever which tilts the rack easily and to a sufficient angle to allow the entire boot to open up - rather than unmounting everything! Genius. Hook up the electrics & away you go. After initial set up it really does just take minutes to hook up and load every subsequent usage. Storage wise, the bike support folds down flat so that the rack can fit in your boot, or hang on your wall without getting in the way. The bike clamps are rubber lined to stop marking the frame, and the wheel guides can be moved to suit the bike size. I have a 29er which even squeezes in. Also worth noting that Roofbox delivered very quickly with no problems and the rack was well protected in 2 thick boxes!
- Vehicle type: 4x4
I was really sceptical about how the tow ball mounting would work. It turned out to be superb. Very secure and very easy to fit. The clamp is great and so is the security locking system. The cycle clamps seem to be infinitely adjustable and the wheel straps are very quick to use. I particularly like the way the lighting units slide in and out and how the whole things fold up to fit in the back of my Ford Kuga. ( not the roomiest of boot areas!) Excellent product and very easy to use.
- Vehicle type: Estate
Much better quality per £ than similarly priced rivals. Spare parts are also very cheap and I really like the ability to swap number plates easily. I'm very happy with the rack as it's a quality item. It is heavy though, so carrying and mounting it can be tough work, but I guess this is the steel construction that gives you the strength.
- Vehicle type: Saloon
The rack is very easy to use. It is a little heavy to move around when off of the vehicle, however once in position on the vehicle it is very easy to install the bikes into position and has a very easy method securing the bikes onto it. Once in position the bikes can be locked onto the rack with the key supplied, very simple and easy. In general anyone purchasing this rack would not be disappointed and would wonder why on earth they haven't purchased one earlier!

About our reviews:

We test, and often use personally, almost all the products we sell, and we stand behind our comments and recommendations unless customers convince us they need changing. Our Customer Services and Workshop staff also have input into our recommendations.

But it's because we've learned a lot over many years that customer feedback is so important. Fresh, first time out opinions are the most useful ones, and in any event we certainly don't have access to the full range of vehicles that our customers have between them.

Product feedback from existing customers helps our new customers make choices, and also helps our suppliers with their product development.

We e-mail our customers a week or so after their order arrives and invite them to send in a review.

Some reviews are suitable for multiple products. Where appropriate we may, for example, use the same review for a number of different roof bar products where the only difference is the length of the roof bar.

Delivery charges and arrangements:

We charge a contribution towards delivery costs, depending on what you order, where you live, and how quickly you want the goods.

For most UK addresses, the charge for our Standard two to four day service is £6.50 (£11.50 for orders including a roof box) and our charge for Express Delivery (one or two days) is £9.50 (£14.50 for orders involving a roof box). AutoSock, shoe chains, RUD i-Sock, and small spare parts, are charged £3.95 (Royal Mail Tracked), £4.95 (Royal Mail Express Tracked) or £5.95 (courier, usually Express Delivery).

There are different charges for any delivery including a sea crossing, and deliveries to Skye - we will contact you with a quote on receipt of order.

Orders for Express Delivery need to be received by 4pm.

When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday.

What about Next Working Day delivery?
We have offered a reliable Next Working Day service for well over 20 years but, due to the pressure on the couriers caused by the coronavirus crisis and the huge increase in online shopping, we can no longer be confident about the delivery date, which is why we now call the service ‘Express Delivery’.  Many Express Delivery orders will arrive on the next working day, but some will arrive on the second working day, or be split between these two days. So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can, and leave the rest for the next trailer.

Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.

Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
